Artifact: Statistics and Assessment of Physical Education- Work Sample
Date: Fall 2011
Reflection:
The work sample for Statistics and Assessment of Physical Education requires the teacher candidate to create a unit curriculum that includes pre-assessments, post-assessments, and formative assessments, across the three learning domains which showcases my ability to meet standard 4. I was assigned Bocce Ball as my unit, where I came up with skills, rules, and technique assessments. This process is important for a physical my development as it is the educators responsibility to have ways to assess how their teaching impacts their students. Through my assessments, I was be able to see if my students were not only physically able to perform the skills, but cognitively remember them over the course of the unit. The pre and post assessments are beneficial to show how students are progressing and figure out if there was an aspect I need to work on improving.
